Simon explains how God has “plans for people”.  He looks at Acts 9 and at how Ananias played a key role in Saul’s conversion and that God also has plans for us as well and we need to follow his will and go out to fulfil them.

Simon explains how “starting out” starts the story. He looks at how Philip’s obedience to the Holy Spirit in Acts 8 carries a radical message of God’s love and inclusion to the Ethiopian travelling back from Jerusalem.

Using the story of Jesus’ first miracle in John chapter 2 where he turns the water into wine Jake explains how obedience is a choice and obedience is also an action and Jesus will lead us when we step out in faith.

Chris unpacks this well-known story that appears in all 4 gospels – it is the story of a miracle, 5000 men + women and children fed from so little.  Four times means it is important!  Today Jesus says to us “you feed them” or “you go and make disciples”.  People are hungry – spiritually, physically, emotionally and intellectually – Jesus tells us to feed them.

As Simon concludes this final talk in the Galatians series we get to appreciate the apostle Paul’s summary of the preceding chapters and completeness of God's work in the "finished work" of Jesus Christ.

Simon explains how one of the burdens the apostle Paul mentions is the weightiness of our temptation to give into sin, and the heaviness of trying to get out of it.  Paul wanted us to share that burden and not battle sin and temptation on our own.

In part 5 of this series on the book of Galatians, Simon explains the Apostle Pauls allegory of Hagar and Sarah is written to persuade us (along with the Galatians) not to follow the Judaizers into slavery with Hagar and Ishmael, but to follow Sarah and Isaac into freedom.

This verse from the Hillsong Worship song ‘Who You say I am’ sums up this talk by Simon from the book of Galatians.  The gospel puts us into the Fathers house we don’t have to be worried or insecure about our future, about whether we’re accepted.

Joel explains how the apostle Paul is explaining that everyone trying to live by the law is under a curse.  Christ became the curse for us so the same blessing given to Abraham may be given to all who believe.  He emphasizes that the true purpose of the law was to lead us to Christ that we might be justified by faith.  Showing that if we belong to Christ then we are heirs according to the promise given to Abraham.

Julian continues our series in Galatians considering Paul’s desire to share grace and freedom in Jesus.  Christian unity is important, more so than our personal preferences.  Our new life in Jesus presents many challenges but he equips us by his Holy Spirit.
